Beta-Carotene

Beta-Carotene is a plant based antioxidant predominantly found in orange and red vegetables such as carrots and apricots. It is mainly used in Vitamin A production and gives a light orange tint to skincare products if used in them.

Cocoa Butter

Cocoa Butter is a yellowy lipid extracted from the roasted seeds of a cocoa plant. Often solid at room temperature but melts at body temperature. It softens and nourishes the skin and is used in a variety of skincare formulations.

Squalane

Kiehl’s star ingredient, Squalane, is a highly-refined botanical lipid derived naturally from olives. Squalene absorbs easily with its exceptional affinity to skin and helps replenish skin’s barrier, thereby keeping it soft, supple and moisturized.
